Another drink from Avery Glasser’s time at Amor y Amargo.
This drink is Avery’s correction of a drink that he never thought made sense: the Seelbach. Bourbon and Champagne just don’t really go together, regardless of how much bitters you add. Bourbon and beer, that’s a much better combination. Taking a classic Boilermaker as inspiration, he came up with the Boiler-Bach.
Listed as one of Tasting Table’s best cocktails of 2011.

A drink developed by Avery Glasser for the bar program at Amor y Amargo (NYC) after Todd Richman stopped in with a bottle of Jägermeister. It quickly became a favorite of the Sidney Frank staff as well as the bar’s patrons.
